THE RESULTS OF A SEED

In the words of Bishop Ellis, and I quote, “You cannot underestimate the power of a SEED.” SEEDS carries within it, the potential and the ability which was given to it by God, to reproduce itself. This is recorded in Genesis 1:11.

This means, that whatever is embedded within the SEED when it is SOWN, it WILL PRODUCED its kind. For example, If you plant an apple seed, an apple tree will be the PRODUCT of the apple seed sown. This according to Genesis 8:22, is a principle. Scripture goes on to say in Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man SOWETH, that shall he also REAP.”

THERE IS POWER WITHIN A SEED!

Now let’s see how this principle applies In the case of Abraham. God challenged Abraham by saying, “leave your place of comfort and go to a land that I would show you, and if you OBEY, I would BLESS

1

YOU and your SEED tremendously, and in thee shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. HERE IS THE PROMISE!

Special Point 1: “PROMISES ARE ALWAYS ATTACHED TO A SEED ONCE SOWN.” A seed cannot reach its full potential if it’s not sown. God always sees in you, what you can’t see in yourself. This is because God knows what He has placed within you which is a SEED. That seed could be a WORD, a CHALLENGE, an IDEA but remember it starts with a SEED. Everything starts with a SEED.

So what did Abraham do when he received the promise, He OBEYED God, and sowed a SEED. What was the SEED that was sown? It was a SEED of FAITH! Which was an act of OBEDIENCE to the voice of God. ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD no matter how the odds were against him. Abraham didn’t know where he was going when God told him to leave. All Abraham knew, was that he had a Word from God. This small act of OBEDIENCE resulted in a LARGE HARVEST which was the promised being fulfilled.

Special Point 2: Abraham’s promise was not only about him. His promise had GENERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS. The promise that God gave you is not only about you but is has GENERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS.
God told Abraham that He would make of him a great nation. So Abraham was SOWING through his SEED of FAITH for you and me. His one act of obedience benefited all of us.
Abraham had a PROMISE, but he had to OBEY in order to see the promise manifested. The promise was in the SEED! The SEED had to be planted which was through Abraham’s obedience, for the SEED to be able to REPRODUCE.
Some time ago, the Lord gave me a word and said, “You are an answer to someone’s prayer. So your act of obedience will determine someone’s present and future breakthrough. The word that the Lord gave me said, “someone is depending on you to answer the call.” Your act of obedience will determine someone’s breakthrough.

So now because of Abrahams act of OBEDIENCE, we through FAITH, are considered the SEED of Abraham and HEIRS according to

the PROMISE God gave to him. So the seed that was sown, which was the SEED OF FAITH, reproduced itself, which gave birth to us who now LIVE by FAITH. Scripture says in Romans 1:17, “The just shall live by FAITH.” Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him.”

Special Point 3: Never think that your simple act of obedience through FAITH, will not yield its returns. IT WILL result in an overflow of BLESSINGS. If the truth is told, our obedience is not predicated on us, but on our future and on those who are attached to us.

Remember now the principle that is already in place as mentioned in Genesis 1:11 which states, “there is a SEED inside of a SEED.” This means that every SEED has the potential and the ability to reproduce.

So like Abraham, we must live by FAITH. Living by faith is not a SELFISH ACT. It will take FAITH to walk into what God has for our lives and become a recipient of the promises of God made to Abraham. This is not hard for a true believer, because the seed of

FAITH is already in us. Second Corinthians 5:7 states, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Special Point: This SEED OF FAITH that’s within us, has to be activated. REASONING has no place in the vicinity of FAITH. They can’t work together. It’s like a husband and wife who can’t agree.

WHAT’S IN YOU, A QUESTION YOU MAY BE ASKING IF YOU HAVEN’T GOTTEN IT ALREADY, “IT’S THE SEED TO REPRODUCE WHICH IS THE SEED OF FAITH which came about through your salvation experience.

Special Point: FAITH CAN GET YOU TO WALK INTO SOME PROMISES THAT REASONING CAN’T.
If you are in Christ, you are in a good position to receive all of God’s blessings that He has in store for you. Here in the text, the Apostle Paul was trying to bring the Galatians to a place of understanding. They didn’t understand the principle of a SEED. The Galatians were trying to receive their inheritance through works or by the law. Paul 5

had to correct them by stating that they which be of FAITH are blessed with faithful Abraham.

The Apostle Paul in actuality was saying, “If you want what Abraham was promised, just do what Abraham did, HE BELIEVED GOD!
Is it that simple YES! Do you mean to tell me that everything that I need is tied to my Faith? You mean to tell me that I have ACTIVATION POWER living on the inside of me.

Do you mean to tell me that all of the blessings that God has in store for me can be mines if I only believe?

The answer to these questions is YES!
