The Power of A Seed

I’m Fully Convinced That I’m In A New Season

The Power Of A Seed”

Scripture: Genesis 26:12, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.”

Other relative scripture references: Genesis 1:11-12; Matthew 13:1-9; 18-23; Ecclesiastes 3:1-2; Psalms 1:1-3

Notes: When we understand the power of a seed, then we will begin to appreciate the word SEASON and we would also appreciate what God has placed within us and what He is doing through us. Seed and Season correlate.

Doesn’t it amaze you, when you see the outcome of a seed that was planted? You would never expect that something so small, could produce something so big and significant. That’s the power of a seed! Once planted in the Right Environment, it will produce great results.

Special Point: That’s the reason why I am Fully Convinced” that I’m in a New Season” because I’m in the right environment.

Please pay close attention to this statement that I made, “Once planted in the right environment, it will produce great results.” If a seed is planted the wrong environment, an environment that is not conducive enough to receive that seed, “It will miss its season!” This statement will help some of us that aren’t fully convinced. Let me further explain!

Something powerful I want you to see here in Genesis 1:11. It says, “And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass.” (KJV).

The (NIV) says, “Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation.” The origin of this word vegetation in the mid 16th century actually means, “power of growth.” So God on the third day of his creation put the earth in a vegetative state in order for the seed to be able to produce and to produce after its kind.

The vegetative state is the growth process of the seed. This is important because, your seed or the seed that is within you, has to be in a productive (vegetative) environment to see its full potential and to be able to not only produce but to produce after its kind (to keep on producing).

Special Point: This is why you should be rejoicing because you are not only in your season to produce, but you are in a new season of exponential growth and productivity. This environment is vegetative (It has built within it through its leader, the power of growth, the power of development, and the power of productivity).

Let me further help some of you in case your still not fully convinced. Bishop Ellis under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit was giving Genesis 26:12 and again it reads, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.”

Special Point: Isaac sowed in that land where there was a famine and he reaped in that land the same year he sowed, a hundredfold. Tell somebody exponential growth and productivity!

Special Point: Our seed is in a vegetative state! It has to produce because we are in a new season. Isaac reaped a hundredfold blessing because of who he was connected to. The seed will always produce after its kind. That’s a principal!

Vegetative Environment

When your seed is in a vegetative environment, your not affected by what is happening around you. It’s a growth process so the seed is focused in on the process of productivity, growth, and development. The seed becomes unresponsive to its surroundings and it is focused in on the process during its vegetative state. It has to stay unresponsive because it needs to preserve its energy for when it needs to awake to its season. The vegetative state keeps the preservation of the seed so that it wouldn’t miss its season.

Special Point: That’s why we have to stay within this environment of productivity, growth, and development so we can’t miss our season.

Now for more clarity, when I talk about seed in this message, I am referring to what God has already placed within you or a seed that was planted. It could be a dream, an idea, a passion but it all comes back to this true thought which is, “It’s a seed.” How you treat that seed, determines its outcome.

Special Point: You can’t destroy a seed potential. The power, the potential, the ability, the wealth, the influence, is already embedded within that seed. The potential and the ability will always be embedded within it but again if placed in the wrong environment, the seed will not reach its full potential. It will remain dormant.

Scripture says in Genesis 1:11-12 in the latter clause, “whose seed is in itself,” meaning that there is a seed within a seed. The seed has the ability to reproduce itself.

NOW LET’S BRIEFLY LOOK AT TYPES OF ENVIRONMENTS. THIS IS IMPORTANT!

Jesus spoke a parable of the sower in Matthew 13:1-8 The sower went to sow and as he sowed, some seeds fell on four (4) types of environment.

1: The Way Side: This individual hears the word but is not trying to understand, so the devil steals away the seed sown. God was trying to implant a seed inside of this individual who was supposedly listening but wasn’t understanding and didn’t even tried to understand what God was doing. So this individual will most likely miss out on their season.

2: The Stony Places: This individual gets excited about what was received but when trouble comes, he/ she abandons what was planted.

3: Thorny Path: This individual, allows the cares of this world, to choke the seed thus causing it not to produce. Again season missed.

4: Good Ground: This individual controlled, and maintained his environment so that his environment was conducive to receive the seed.

Special Point: You have to watch out for seed killers. They are out to destroy what God has placed within you and what God is trying to do within you. They didn’t make it so they don’t want you to make it. They are dormant and not productive so they want you to be dormant and not productive. Their dreams die so they want yours to die. They are SEED KILLERS!

You have to stay in a vegetative environment.

Conclusion:

The bible says in Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2, To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.

In this new season that you are in, God has placed the seed that you have planted and the seed that is within you, in a vegetative state so that it will not be affected by what is going on around it, in order for it not to miss this new season of exponential growth, exponential development and exponential favor.

Because we are in the right environment, our enemies don’t stand a chance in causing us to miss our season to produce.

With that said, I came by to tell you, THAT “I’M FULLY CONVINCED” THAT I’M IN A NEW SEASON, because of what I’m feeling on the inside and what I’m seeing manifested on the outside.

On the inside, the seed that God has placed within me has automatically caused my response mechanism to outward negative influences to demobilized and has quickened me to rejoice because of my New Season.

So rejoice, child of God, because what is going on around us, doesn’t stand a chance on affecting our seed. It doesn’t stand a chance on causing us to miss out on this New Season. So I’m fully convinced that I’m In A New Season! God bless!
